"Winter Storm at Split Rock Lighthouse"
The lighthouses on the Great Lakes were built to safely guide ships through storms such as this. Now standing silent yet picturesque, they are proud ambassadors of a bygone era.
This photograph was composed along Lake Superior's North Shore during a storm with wind-driven snow. The natural color of the water was incredible! (Nature's palette, including the water color, was not altered in post-processing.)
