After the fireworks ended and crowds left Canal Park, we enjoyed photographing the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge with its vibrant patriotic colors. As luck would have it, the bridge had to lift its lower span to allow passage to the inbound Paul R. Tregurtha ("thousand footer") in the wee hours of the morning. "Stars and Stripes - Aerial Lift Bridge"
After the fireworks ended and crowds left Canal Park, we enjoyed photographing the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge with its vibrant patriotic colors. As luck would have it, the bridge had to lift its lower span to allow passage to the inbound Paul R. Tregurtha ("thousand footer") in the wee hours of the morning. In addition to the beautiful reflection, this long exposure photograph captured the vertical trails created by the lights on the rising lower span. I had envisioned this exact shot for quite some time, and was fortunate to finally have an opportunity to create it as the patriotic bridge welcomed a big laker. I hope you appreciate the uniqueness of this photograph and the spirit of Independence Day.
