"Fallen Aspen Leaf"

A fallen bigtooth aspen leaf rests on the forest floor in its last show of color. The circle of life is represented here. The end of life for the aspen leaf and cedar fronds provides nourishment for insects and fungi, in turn enriching the soil for the clubmoss and next summer's aspen.
